Cost

The cost for the mediator is $250 per hour. This includes time spent with attorneys or the parties as well as time required to study documents, research issues, correspond, make telephone calls, and/or prepare draft and final agreements, if necessary, and other things as may be reasonably necessary to facilitate the parties reaching full agreement.

Time is calculated to the nearest one-half hour but shall not be less than two hours for a pre-arranged session.

Travel expenses are not charged within Rhode Island. The mediator shall be reimbursed for expenses only if agreed to by both parties before occurrence.

The parties are jointly and severally liable for the mediator’s fees and, if any, expenses incurred.
